Hi has anyone got a similar setup as this and got it to work ? Spring crashes half way through the loading the Lua Rules. I know it's a driver issue and not Springs fault (ati linux drivers only work on FC 12!) but if anyone can tell me how to get it working using the free ATi drivers (Mesa_Dri) it would be really appreciated.
Cheers folks
Neil

try putting the settings all down. disable shadows (-1) ...
For me, spring never was usable with the open source ATI drivers. i doubt you can get it to run, and if you can, it will probably be unusably slow anyway. just do not buy ATI next time, if you want to use linux.

Thanks for advice I will try it out. Fortunately the card is only a loaner for a few days while I get a new Nvidia :)
I am just addicted to Spring and I miss my daily fix so thought if I could get it working easily I would.
Thanks for the quick response.

Hi Thanks for the reply. I have now got my new Nvidia card (210) nice card and works brilliantly with Spring :) Previously we could only run 2 people and 2 ai's. Can now run 2 people and at least 3 ai's. Have run 4 once but got blown away very quickly :) so not really a fair test. The Ai's build faster now as well so the card (and 2Gb more memory) makes a big difference.
Cheers again
