most players know that when trying to dgun an enemy unit may be "out of range" as in not within the circle. but it is still possible to hit the unit.
i dont want dgun range to be lowered to the actual shown range just the actual shown range to be equal to the effects

Can't whoever made the widget just manually increase the size of the circle?Regret wrote: Engine issue afaik.

Re: Dgun aim "range"
That's not even needed. All I do when I dgun is find the direction I want to dgun in with the widget and click right in front of the comm in that direction. The Dgun travels in a straight line and the comm won't walk to the the position slightly out of range. Most players won't even need this fixed, they should know how to use a dgun already.
Re: Dgun aim "range"
Its not a problem, other range circles arent totally accurate either but as long as you know that it's totally fine.
Re: Dgun aim "range"
In BA many hitsperes are huge compared to visual units. Maybe that gives the illusion of wrong Dgun range?
Re: Dgun aim "range"
No no no... here's what he's trying to say:
When you click to Dgun, a magic circle appears that has the "range" of the dgun. However, you can't just click anywhere in that circle because there's a maximum range of click vs. how far the dgun will go.
Take a look at the picture. The green circle is your com. The black circle is the "click" range. The red circle is the actual dgun range.
When you click anywhere within the green circle, your com fires in the direction of your click. The dgun intersects that point, then continues to travel along, with a maximum traveled distance equal to the red circle.
If you click anywhere outside the green circle (but inside the red circle still) your com must walk until he is close enough to fire at that point. This sucks.
The point OP is trying to make is that if I click a dgun target within the red circle, the com should fire immediately and NOT walk closer to the target.
