Battle of Achilles map. New starmap texture, as you probably notice. 2048x2048 with aspect compensation. (uploaded new version with enhanced planet texture)

That should read the "texture" caydr applied is not even aligned. The point of texturing it at all was to see if spring was capable of rendering it... but it looked pretty cool and I've been helpless to its siren call to post screenshots.

I know, it is just that I am not used to you posting incomplete work like this. I am more excited about the idea of a completed model.

preferably if you're looking for a space sim X3 works, IG3 or presently known as Nexus: The Jupiter Incident was in my opinion a very nice space sim, too bad the single player's short and the multiplayer's bit limited. but as far as open source projects go, yes spring is quite nice, fits right up there with linux. Though many people would undoubtly hail linux as the greater creation of the two.
