mex's extracting energy.

i would like a mex to extract energy and metal. but not produce E if it wasnt on a metal spot.

if there is an easy way to do this then please tell me. but if it requires lua then just some hints would be nice (as im trying to learn it myself)



also whilst on the point. is this a good idea? i plan to remove solars entirely from coms build list. and maybe even T1 cons. so if u can help me out ur free to throw in other ideas about mex's and T1 energy in general.

Can be good can be bad, depends on the context pretty much.

general plan was to make early game faster and expansion more necessary. rewarding raiders or rushes and dissuading porc.
