Game now instantly minimizes and crashes whenever launched

I've been able to play Spring for several weeks now, and the game has grown on me. I especially like the sophisticated terrain and how turrets have to be placed carefully to avoid friendly fire.

Well, last night I tried to join an XTA game and when the multiplayer match launched, Spring minimized on me and locked up. It does that every time now, no matter what mod I try. I rebooted and deleted the game install directory and the Spring directory located in My Documents\My Games\Spring and reloaded it. After redownloading a mod, I was able to launch a single player game, but the moment I tried to join a multiplayer match, same problem - instant minimization, no error message or any way to diagnose the problem.

I have changed absolutely nothing on my computer between yesterday, when Spring was working fine, and today, when it's Epic Fail 100% of the time. So I seriously doubt that it's drivers or OS or anything to do with my computer. All my other games work fine.

Anyways, here's one way you can help : Spring's uninstaller doesn't work right. Even after reinstalling, I noticed that my graphics configuration settings were the same as before the reinstall. Even after I deleted the Spring folder in Program Files AND the folder in my documents. This means that Spring is leaving a turd of a configuration file hidden somewhere on my system, and not bothering to delete it during a reinstall. (gosh, use a package manager for your installer or something!) Where's this file at so that I can actually start fresh?

The solution:
Launch spring.exe. Maximize it. Close it. Play spring normally.

The offending configuration file is springsettings.cfg, can be found with a search of your C drive (its in application data btw)

get the springsettings.cfg file path in your infolog.txt, open it, and delete the "windowstate" line
