Recommendation website

Post by SteveZissou »

I've made a website for people to share, rate, and discuss recommendations with their friends. I started a group called SpringRTS Community, if anyone's interesting in joining just register at www.recommendinator.com, click on the "Public Groups" link in the menubar and click the "Join" link next to "SpringRTS Community" in the table. I'm mostly into movies so I've recommended a few but you can recommend anything you want. Keep in mind that the site is still new and being worked on.

Unlikely. All the active ones know him by name.

This movie is really good, it's by Guy Ritchie and better than Snatch and Lock Stock. I don't know if I told you guys yet, but I bought a PS3, and I liked this movie enough for it to be my first BlueRay purchase... Of course my TV is so small it made no difference.
ok.

I registered, and might contribute at some point. I have two recommendations for the site itself-

1. Get somebody to redesign it, graphically. I would recommend JAZCASH, he is not terribly experienced but it would be useful learning experience for him and he has the fundamentals of the theory down, with some growing practical ability which sets creators apart from critics.

2. Add some sort of captcha/verification for account creation.

I'd be happy to make you a design, and as Neddie stated, it's all good experience for me. However, you might have to wait till I've finish designs on a bunch of other projects too :P I've got about 3 on the go at once and I'm pretty sure Koshi's probably given up with me now :P

Edit: Also, Neddie, I PM'd you a while ago about my username and was wondering if you could change it to just "Jazcash"? Excessive caps are excessive after all and makes you seem as if you're shouting at me every time seeing as you love to call each and every person by their full username

Where are you with the ladder site? I haven't been contributing because I'm still bound to my EEE PC.

Haha, I'm still working on it every now and then on my own Eee PC  There was a few weeks where I totally forgot about it but I'd just like to say that I am still working on things, just in a slow kind of way. Most of it is done during lessons at school ....
