Hm.. I've suddenly lost all memory of past games I've played.. Oh, here's a couple:
Fusion cannon (Descent 1)
Earthshaker missile (Descent 2)
Descent 3 had no good weapons... whole game was a morass of lameness
fully-upgraded Stealth Pistol (Deus Ex)
Prometheus cannon (Freespace)
Prometheus-R (freespace 2) (yes, the R was the lame one you get at the beginning of the game, but I love the sound it makes. Plus it's still a great gun)
Dark Trooper cannon (Dark Forces)
Heavy Repeater (JK 2 and JK 2.5)
My Krogoth's shotgun-o-death (TA)
I'll post some more if this game amnesia goes away

I forget the name, but one of Sung Mina's weapons in Soul Caliber 3 that looks like a blue broom.
Obviousely the master sword (or whichever the "shooty" sword in any particular Zelda Game)
The "option" upgrade in Gradius games where it multiplies all of the current upgrades that you ship has in a shadow ovaly thingy.
The D-Gun (TA like everyone else)
The Phaser for the Sega Master System (I think it count's) and to a lesser extent the NES Zapper, SuperScope Six, and the Arcade House of the Dead gun with the cool kickback.
Finally the Zombie Killing Keyboard from Typing of the Dead.

turok 2 spore gun (the weapon that shoots those head hunting spore balls that drill hole it the head and explodes when its inside... and it all ends headless and very bloody) ill try to make the all goodiness with words
first it lanches its this slow moving ball that makes odd noise *mimimimii* follows the enemys head grabs on the head and starts drilling a hole *squuuirt blood squirts and u hear bones snapping and the enemy twitches* then it stops drilling and *BOOM* head gets blows and blood everywhere...
that the best weapon there is
from IGN
Cerebral Bore: Perhaps the nastiest gun in Turok 2, this gun locks on to an enemy's brain waves and sends out a high speed drill bit that bores itself into the creature's head. You thought using a tek arrow was messy ? a party favorite.

No he doesn't
That was strictly FF8 only, what a weird concept, I have heard of guns incorporating blades (essentially glorified baynette) but the other way around is idiotic, the FF series had a wide aray of crazy weapons that make little sense, I guess that's where the fantasy is, definitly not my cup of tea but my brother played it quite a bit.
it's actually quite hard picking a favorite weapon, many games got cool ones.
But real life weapons are much more easy for me, I am a big fan of the AK-Series of rifles, I kinda grew to love the AK, the AR-15 series of rifles just bore me now.
