Total blackout of spring

ITS FIXED !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!


NOTE:every game program beside springs works perfectly blender wings photoshop other games like starcraft II beta e.t.c... only spring doesnt work


Problems:
1-lobby programs none start correctly
1.1-TAS client doesnt start says unitsync.dll error
1.2- Spring downloader, input lobby ,works its the only one that works for me, problem is i cant start the game, the executable is working but the aplication doesnt start, it doesnt even get to the loading screens
1.3-Spring lobby starts only if i hack my way into forced run commands trou DOS, doesnt get to the loading screens also.

Solutions taken that didnt fixed the problem:
1-instaled latest C++ redistributable
2-fixed .exe comand twice and verfied if it was forseen in my computer as a aplication
3-cheked for registry problems
4-re instaled everything spring and lobby programs
5-reinitiated the computer severall times
6-checked if anti virus was creating problems


Factors that i did between when i run the game and when it stop working:
1-i did nothing instaled nothing it just stoped working from one day to the other.
2- one nigth worked perfectly the other day it staled

NOTES: the game doesnt crash, because it doesnt even get that far.......so there is no info log..........

the only instalation i did the day before the blackout for spring was evolution RTS witch functioned perfectly

What does running spring.exe do for you?

unitsync error ... it says exactly "unitsync error" and only that ? because if it doesn't don't expect to get help if you're too lazy to post the whole error msgs

when i ready up in the lobby and when the match startes
im left behind i wait around 5 to 8 minutes and the game doesnt even reach to loading screen


i also tryed going to the instalation folder and cliking on the spring.exe
it fails also it hangs and consumes only cpu power i have to kill the aplication manualy





satirik its not for being to lazy ive posted a lot of those problems before so i know how to do it the problem is the only error messages ive got

2:ON TAS "unhandeled exception unitsync" the error message of tas isnt actualy as in here since ive deleated tas already, i dont recall exactly but it was unitsync error im sure
and it was a short message no more than that

the only lobby that works as i say again its SD
but when i reach the playable stage it hangs again and doesnt start.

could that have to do with an anti-virus program?
maybe try disabling all anti-virus and anti-spy and whatnot, and run spring.exe then (maybe after specifically checking the exe for virus, if you want). if you want to play save, disconnect from the network when doing that.

you say, spring worked fine, and from one day to the other stopped working? or you just installed it now and it never worked on your machine?

for further testing, i recommend you just try running spring.exe. if that does not work, then there is no use in testing the lobbies or whatnot. if that works, you can start to test the other stuff again.

an other thing to try is running a debug version of spring in a debugger (gdb.exe).

Imo delete all spring stuff - including maps and mods (backup somewhere) and all configs.

Then reinstall and try again.

If it fails then suspect virus/antivirus.

problem was in order to unistal spring completely i had to regedit and deleate OpenAl entry from the registry then instal everything up again and voila it worked

i think i know what caused this, since i have a couple programs that run it may somewhat modified the registry i dunno but it works now thanks for the help anyways.

Yea it looks i have the same. I install game today, and I have old Vista, more than 1,5 year working. I have Spring some time ago, a lot of time...

And now, i also get blackout.

Don't use registry cleaners, for a myriad of reasons, but it you're absolutely hellbent on doing registry cleaning, ONLY use ccleaner as it will do what you want and not fuck up your registry at the same time.
