So... as that guy with a metroid in his avatar just demonstrated, it appears that Google has a web hosting service. Search for "google sites".

Might be worth looking into. Google services are usually pretty solid, if a bit rough around the edges.

Google sites is awesome if you just need to get some content hosted, and has robust user controls, but they're pretty limited otherwise - it's like an old geocities site or something. You can't just upload an arbitrary website - it's pretty much limited to what they have already pre-canned on the service. Which is a lot, but if your goal is to dabble in scripts I doubt it would work for you.

I dunno, maybe there is more flexibility than I realize. We use them at work quite a bit but the basic functionality has always been plenty for us.
