The second layer of tilty-things along the side is ugly, but that's only visible from the side. From above it looks really really good. Nice work.

I gotta say, this is pretty darn cool.

Now you just gotta make a couple more so a complete faceoff army can be made 8)

I think that could be solved by selecing the bottom row of tilty things, and flipping them along the Y axis (vertical flip).

this one reminds me of some kind of ore harvester..
Its nose looks just right to take in resources from the ground.

8) awesome, looks as if you enjoyed yourself hehe

and yes; it does look a bit like a harvester of some type to me... albiet an armed one.

i see you've used that big wheel in your model... i kinda figured it was a bit useless, its nice to see you've encorporated it. very nice to see how others use the parts; that way i can make some additions to the next set...

was there anything you felt you -needed- that wasn't there that i might add into the next kit?

just you wait mr D, just you wait

it looks to me like a heavy anti air unit- it rolls into an enemy fighter field, stops and clamps to the floor then its cannons crane up and start shredding planes, while its large armoured chasse makes it resistant to return fire

I was thinking an anti projectile weapons that destroys projectiles while they are moving in the air.

My first thought was red alert 2 armed harvester :)

That turret is way, way, way too huge to be for such a role. Looks like a heavily-armored flak tank to me.

Nice job, Scorpy. One note: the front 2 wheels seem to just be floating there. add an axle or something! :P

Now we need a LuaUI for designing these units in game a la Earth 2025 or Kingdom Heart's Gummy Ship Designer.

different blocks have different attributes and costs.
save your designs and use them in future games, share your designs with team mates... maybe even a custom AI system for programming your individual units...

wow, that would be amazing; an assembly system *drools* hah that was my -first- idea for something for spring, ages and ages ago.

of course, i have no clue how to even begin. but maybe when i have the "lego v2 awesomeness" set released; someone will take the initiative

Something like Warzone2100 shouldn't be too tricky, I'd have thought. All you really need is one model with all the pieces, and a ridiculously long animation-script saying when to show what.

I'll have a go at some sort of proof-of-concept some time this week.
