buildings and units are just black

i get the map and everything loaded okay, but the units or starting buildings are always just black with no color or anything, any ideas?

Step 1: We want screenshots... we don't necessarily need them but they feed our perverse curiosities... Make sure you get some shots really tightly zoomed in.

Step 2: Attach your infolog.txt ... ATTACH DO NOT POST... Remember, attach, don't post the contents of the file, just attach it.

Step 3: System Specs!
We want:
- Video Card Model (Amount of VRAM, Manufacturer and Chipset if inboard etc.) and Driver Version
- Operation System (including if it's x86 or 64, applied service packs and hotfixes etc.)
- If running Vista or Windows 7 are you using an Aero theme?
- CPU Type, Model, Speed, Number of cores etc.

Additionally, Is this the first version of spring you have run? have you had this problem on prior versions? What game packages (or Mods) have you tried?
