That metal storage looks real nice. Should replace the fugly BA metal storage with this one.

yes, but how does it look from the top? units in ba are designed to be easy to view from the top.

Personally, I find that texture unnecessarily messy, there is a lot of visual data conveying very little information.

It actually works excellent in my opinion:

I'd rather disagree here. It has actually way less tiny details than e.g. Mr. D's textures while still having some nice big patterns easy viewable even at the lower LOD levels...

I might edit the texture a bit to make it a bit grimmer and add it into SA.
If the creator doesn't mind me messing around with the texture.

iop !

Couple things ...

First I uploaded something new on 3d ocean. Big lowpolygon tree set :-)
http://3docean.net/item/9-forest-trees/85041

Then I finally made a portfolio (early beta)...
http://cremuss.free.fr/

I also decided to remove some old things of my blender directory but I thought some of the stuff could interest you so I packaged couples of things...

http://cremuss.free.fr/files/animals.zip : horse, dogs, cats and chickens lawls

http://cremuss.free.fr/files/map.zip : lot of fantasy stuff here. I packaged 99% of what you can see on this old picture

http://cremuss.free.fr/files/creatures.zip : dozens of old fantasy creatures I made months ago...

and finally 6 sci fi units I made 1 week ago to try a cleaner texture style :

everything is under gpl license.
I was too bored to do the .obj export stuff, so you'd have to install blender if you want to use this stuff

Cyyyyaaaaaaaa :-)

Brilliant! Gorgeous! I know you will make Car and other fantasy devs happy. You've really come through again.

The sci-fi builds are not as complex as your latest stuff but still really good quality, and i guess the work flow is probably easier. Nice work, crem! We can really use some of these units, we could do with a few random buildingy things.

Do the larger blocky ones have some animation beyond their current shape? Be a little hard to find a function for them if they are inert, though they can always be cut up and something done with them.

Some spring mapper should buy your trees and put them in spring! Give you some support for all the superb work you've done for us.

Aaand there is already one in game!

They look good Cremuss, maybe a tad too clean but still excellent work there.

I think that the higher contrast palette will really give these units a strong visual consistency in-game when mipmapping and everything comes into play.

One thing you might want to explore is finding a way to work in some animation into these units though.

Even a simple deploy animation that triggers as it is finished building would really bring alot to the models.

Yup Mr.D :-)

Thanks ! I agree with you, it's a bit too clean but it was what I looked for. I usually add to much dirt&scratch when I do so I just wanted to try something different.
I suppose a style between that and what I did before (bulldozer) could do it :)

And I agree too about animations, I usually just forgot about deploying or moving details/parts. I'll think about that next time 8)

Well Cremuss, you have forced me to spend over 6 hours of my day learning how to use Blender. It was a painful experience, but the rewards were great.
