Spring lobby doens't connect to server

I just installed spring and it won't connect to the server. It won't check for updates either so I'm thinking the problem is probably on my end.

I have disabled windows firewall so that should not be the problem.

Windows 7 64 bit.

make sure you're connecting to the server named 'Official Server.'

is there a server password for the main one? (its asking me for one for some reason)

There's no such thing as a server password, SL just has a bug that it pops up the battle pass window sometimes when it has connection issues.

Were you able to register a lobby account successfully?

i was not able to register an account

i have an old account from like 4 years ago that doesn't seem to work either

check SL's param and launch it with debug window so you can see the raw data in and out

i dunno why it does not work. The map downloader program that is included works fine. But I cannot connect to the server with either client.

it seems you can receive msg from the server but can't send to it ...
