I dunno, the scale seems fairly appropriate considering the size of the Pewee.

At least to me it looks about spot on for what I would expect of an ultralight mech under 25 tons.

By Battletech standards?
Just a reminder increasing anything length wise increases mass + Delta^3... or something bullshitted like that.

I just have a hard time believing that a pewee would be the size of an elemental, and more of a full sized mech instead of a tiny powered armored suit.

i see what you mean but i have a hard time believing battle tech designers had any realistic concept of mass VS size.

A commander is not a hive mind.

Think of core troops as power suits, only they are power suits for AIs, not human bodies, so the cockpit is basically a cpu with a patterned human conciousness inside.

The best warriors as such, are copied.

I would imagine core conciousness is actually the location of these patterned beings, and those on the battlefield are all copies of a standard template, or AIs under the control of a single patterned mind in the commander.

But these technicalities are unlikely to have persisted all 4 thousand years. I would not be surprised is all arm forces were AIs or patterned individuals themselves. Heck the arm may have used the same tech as core on a voluntary basis, and at some point forgotten their cause and pushed it out under necessity

then arm should have a randomness bonus per unit that core does not get

I like to imagine ARM kbots as Gundam or Battletech in style, where there is a live human pilot in a cockpit controlling the machine, maybe even jacked into the machine like the matrix as far as control.

And Core as more like transformers or Terminator vehicles or Ghost in the shell in theory, where their entire body and mind is the machine with no physical pilot, but just a processor core within like AF was saying.
