This sounds like it will require script-fu far beyond what I'm capable of. I tried a rather pathetic attempt tonight, with no luck. I guess I'll just rework my faction to work more like the TA system, and keep my idea in the back of my head as I get familiar with the whole process.

Probably a bit too ambitious for a newcomer, eh?

Zw, I think a more future proof way would be using MoveCtrl for the attaching business (e.g. the THIS Imperator) since Lua is intended to be more universal than the TAisms in the engine so devs are less likely to change the behaviour in some way that excludes buildings or whatnot.

Can you maybe show us that script with some commentary for teaching purposes? IIRC, it's not well-commented and could use some 1-2-3 love, since a lot of people would probably like to try that feature out.
