Eh those themes with the glass destabilize firefox and make the freezing issues a lot worse. Firefox tends to take 20-30 seconds to startup on my 3 machines under xp/vista/win7/OS X, and 10-20 to restart

I've been using FF for a while now, not minding that it looks Windows 98ish. But with 7 it's just an eyesore. Even Steam at least looks... intentionally ugly.

Okay, you know the Windows 7 "half busy" cursor, that still gives you the cursor but it has the spinny blue thing next to it? I just did a test. I closed Firefox, waited 5 seconds, then clicked the icon to start it back up.

My blue swishy thing rotated 6 times and then I was greeted by... notice that in that time, it had actually also just updated to the latest beta. True story, restart FF right now and you'll get it if you're using 3.6 beta. My SSD probably helps a lot with that, but I think 20-30 seconds is way longer than anything I've ever seen.

P.S. Let's pretend you haven't spend 136.4 hours customizing your browser to your liking. You just bought your first computer, and now you have to choose a browser. Can someone give me a reason why you wouldn't choose Chrome?

For anyone who didn't follow this story, well Google lost and had to turn over the information. But they fought tooth and nail to prevent that from happening. It would have been easy to cave in to the government, but they did everything possible to protect that anonymous person's email and privacy.
