Minimizing the Window?
I've been playing spring for a while now and I have but one problem.. Whenever I minimize the spring window, by accidentally hitting the start button, etc., the map I'm playing on gets totally screwed up and black, as well as many of the transparent textures on smoke etc. aren't transparent anymore, and are big and boxy. Is there a way to re-initialize the textures in game? This only seems to happen in fullscreen mode..
Re: Minimizing the Window?
in spring settings, there is an option to fix rendering on alt-tab, try that. you could also play in windowed mode, and maximzed. an other thing to try: upgrade your graphic driver.

Re: Minimizing the Window?
So It doesn't happen to everyone else? I tried alt tab and that didn't seem to fix anything. Windowed mode is hard because you cant exactly move the mouse to the edge of the screen, so is there a way to have custom controls? Like using wasd instead of the arrowkeys?
Re: Minimizing the Window?
i play in a window and use smoothscroll for scrolling.
Re: Minimizing the Window?
yeah, there are custom controlls, check through the wiki (eg "Help" on this page). you can also use /grabinput, which disallows the mouse to leave the window. or you can just use middle mouse button click(or mouse wheel click) on the minimap. then you could also usethe drag scrool mode(s), which work with either clicking or holding down the middle mouse button on the main screen and dragging.
Re: Minimizing the Window?
strange that so many people use alt-tab, while they can just as easy click in the taskbar on the spring 'button', to get the window up again, whithout all those rendering problems

I play windowed and use middle mouse to scroll.

just type /grabinput, remember to toggle it off before alt tabbing awayRoadkillguy wrote: Windowed mode is hard because you cant exactly move the mouse to the edge of the screen, so is there a way to have custom controls?

Re: Minimizing the Window?
I tried using the middle mouse to scroll, dont like it much. Usually I like to use the middle mouse to change angle, I'm just like that. I tried /grabinput, it's just what I was looking for thanks.
