I think it's wrong that maps should be allowed to change the mod at all.

but i agree that making 400 new units inside a map file is totally wrong. few units are okay, they just add some spice to the mod... but when the spice is the biggest thing in the food, then you taste only the fucking spice then... sell a bread with name "special bread (still bread)" when it has 10 pizzas on it, bread is just a misc then.

Senna's mod and the way it is delivered is a product of the system.
In my opinion the success of Senna's mod after packing it with DSD demonstrates the flaws in the current way of sharing mods and maps.

Senna's players enjoy their games which means he is actually benefiting the community by creating a product that is desirable and our personal judgment about the product is irrelevant.

i lolled at the way you said it, but its true yeah.

should just make it possible to join games which mod you dont have, it would fix everything really... then you could just call the mod like "Balanced Annihilation SPECIAL" and people would just join there knowing its that stupid senna special mod.

its kinda hard to get the mod anyways, sometimes the files arent even at springfiles.com so its really difficult to find the mods without PM'ing the host.

Increasing metal output and metal spots in your map by a little bit is okay, adds spice. But when there's 400x more metal it's totally wrong because all you taste is the spicy metal.

You seriously feel how goddamn lousy everybody playing that map & CA is when you join one of those games. Even if they have a star, they probably suck ass, because they used to play Speedmetal. The skill level is 10 leagues below being-laughed-at-for-being-a-bloody-huge-noob-level in a *real* match. Seriously, you find some of the worst RTS players in any game playing DSD Special. People who should not even be allowed to own a computer, people who should be sticking to xbox 360 c&c.
