mods for other classic RTSes?

HI
now I know that TA spring is not a game but game engine, so we can use many combinations of maps, mods, etc.
In present day mostly I see mods connected with TA, but what with mods for other classic games? For example can someone create mods for starcraft, AOE, Red alert etc?
I know that probably it not easy, but its is only my humble idea:) maybe someone has free time, and could create it? :)

Nobody is going to do your work for you. You want it? You do it.

Spring was originally implemented for TA-like games. While it can be worked into other gameplay styles, TA-like stuff is the most native approach.

That, and TA was the best RTS. Obviously we're going to draw inspiration from there. What, you think anybody with taste actually *liked* Westwood's "Let's slap a new engine on the same gameplay we've been using since Dune 2 and call it a new game every year!" series?

YAWN, can we just get a forum rule about these fucking threads or something j/k...

but seriously... yet another waste of space.. there should be a sticky "we are not your personal bitch" inside of which should be details explaining that if someone wants something they bloody well need to make it their own fucking selves.

Did you had a look at http://springrts.com/wiki/Games ?

It is said that Expand and Exterminate takes inspiration from Earth 2150 or so. We're still waiting for the moon babes though.

The Cursed doesn't take inspiration from TA, but from TA:K! And also a bit from Doom2 and Wacraft III.

Fibre takes inspiration from Perimeter.

The Cuberor's Finest is obviously inspired by DoW.

Kernel Panic features a special mod option turning it into a game influenced by DOTA & Alien Shooter (not to mention its secret faction).

There are also at least two space combat games, which names escape me at the moment..Final Frontier and this other one...where you can choose specials at game start and must controll planets.
One could say they are somewhat related to Homeworld.
