scrolling with dual monitors

Post by Wartender »

ok, so for christmas i got a new monitor (22" 1920x1080)
i hooked up the new one and my old one (it's breaking, but i'll use both while it's still alive)
now, how would i go about using both monitors to play spring?
i've tried running in fullscreen with the resolution of both my monitors, but that didn't work, so i took off fullscreen and put the resolution to 1920x1080, and it pops up on my new monitor perfectly, like if it was fullscreen, except for one thing: the camera doesn't move when i move my mouse to the right edge (it goes into my other monitor), this is both good, because i want it to do that, and bad because i need to scroll the camera, how can i compromise? is there another (perhaps better) way to scroll the camera?

any tips on what to do would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Putting the cursor exactly on the right edge of the spring-showing monitor will scroll it...I personally use the arrow keys exclusively to scroll though.

Are you trying to play spring on both monitors at once? If so, you'll need to set the nvidia multiscreen mode to span (with the same resolution on both monitors), set spring to dualscreen mode, and double the horizontal resolution in springsettings.

Or better yet, the Complete Control Camera which is a superset of the smoothscroll widget.
