Is there something wrong with the torrent system?
Look, here's what you do. Right now it sucks ass and it has since forever. Once in a blue moon you can actually make the download button work, usually by hitting it a hundred times, right clicking on the game and hitting "download map" a hundred more times, then trying to join the game. It will then inform you that you don't have the map, would you like to download it, and then it'll sometimes work. And by "work", I mean "add the map to your download queue, where it will remain indefinitely with no seeds". Sucks huge ass. It's horrible. It's a detriment to my otherwise majestic existence.
Just make the download button link to a certain page on the Wiki where people with special rights can add links to valid download sites, preferably with direct links to search forms on the major map/mod sites. This way we don't risk another Unknown-Files but still provide a quick way to download what we need.
There could even be a section with direct links to the most-requested maps or "top 20 in the last week" pages for both maps and mods. It would cover 90% of the time people need to go looking for a file while also encouraging people to try other maps/mods. In the worst case scenario it would only reinforce the situation we have now, where there are 10 maps or less on rotation at all times, but boo hoo, at least we'll be able to download the bloody things without needing to go to Mount Doom and back every time the host decides he wants to try a different version of Speedmetal.
Is it even possible to download through SpringLobby?

use more of that silly search function

So if I go to the battle list, and try to join a game, and it offers to download the map for me, and I say yes, and absolutely nothing happens... it's my problem, not a long-standing issue with the lobby software.
