And I also am positively salivating at the thought that Sinbad actually said WHAT it was that I'd done wrong and didn't just remove the entire substance of my post. That in particular was positively jawdropping. No sarcasm, I'd love to see more of that.

On the other hand, this kind of behavior that I have to say seems childish, is exactly what's wrong with the moderation here. Just adding something to a post to be a dick or "post removed" with NO PUBLIC REASON or a name of who did it, fills me with disgust and contempt.

It fills me with a desire to rail against it with everything I have, to cause that individual or those individuals as much... frustration... as I feel. That ridiculous behavior is what provoked my own less peaceful nature a short while ago. Sorry if that breaks rules but after my experience at TA Universe I am absolutely HATEFUL of that kind of behavior. I have experienced it and seen and felt the results. There are GOOD PEOPLE here and I want to be a positive influence not a negative one.

Accountability, that's golden.

Backseat moderation is a felony IIRC.

I for one do not recommend any course of action for your offense, as I recognize that is not my perogative.

What topic was this? I can't recall seeing any post editing where the reason wasn't clear.

I recommend someone fixes Caydr's account so he can edit his posts.

It was deleted in its entirety. A pity you can't say whether this was justified or not, hmm? Seeing as how it's gone without any record?

FRAK I can't edit that to be more clear, it was deleted by a moderator, not by me.

I don't think there is a rule against Double-Posting... In fact I prefer it to editing in some cases (particularly when someone is posting again more then an hour after the prior post with new information or insight... not this case but that's just Caydr attempting to convince us of the lack of wisdom in preventing his editing rights by illustrating his point... that part is sort-of bannable I suppose... but the more likely outcome is that more of the Moderators will keep an eye on him for his recidivism. )

Well in any case I'm on the road for a few days again, it would be nice if when I got back I was able to edit again. Thanks for any efforts on my behalf.

Preventing a user from editing his posts will achieve..? That's right, nothing. Congratulations on making more drama.

We should issue a life system. Every user gets default 3 lives. If you're good, you get a life. If you're bad, you lose a life. If you get banned, it means you have no life.

As I was not the one who did it I can neither confirm-nor-deny the reason for the action (or even if it was taken on purpose)... I would say that I see the point... if a User has been reverting posts or posting things that are offensive and then "un-posting" them by editing... which makes moderation more difficult as other Users might see and be offended by something and then said problem was removed by the Poster and as such the... person has been offended but there is... I've lost my train of thought here... I think this coke hasn't kicked in completely yet.

I take back that he should be able to edit posts, missed the part where lurker said about why he can't edit them.

edit: just kidding, this is childish

A moderator edited your topic to put something bad in it, and then later deleted the topic entirely?

And topics get moved to a hidden forum when deleted, so if you could say what it was about it would help me search.

Odd, that's how it started out. I recall giving you a reason and a name when I first did it. Then you went on a public crusade about how what you said might not be construed as negative or flaming, when in reality it contained some very offensive material. And no, you cant keep using the excuse that the obvious falseness of the posts content makes it ok.
It fills me with a desire to rail against it with everything I have, to cause that individual or those individuals as much... frustration... as I feel. So you feel a desire to troll someone because you couldn't abide by the rules of the forum, and they made this apparent?
Accountability, that's golden.
Yes it works both ways. You are also accountable for what you post.

On the edit wars: You posted some borderline backseat moderation in a thread titled "Moderation", I was going to do something about it, but decided to give the benefit of doubt. Then you went back and about 5 posts later edited it to something clearly inflammatory.

I for one would welcome you choosing to be a positive influence, man. So, like, do stuff. You're a doer, so do things and spread goodness.

1.Stop a troll editing his posts
2.Watch him rage
3.Let him post 4 times in a row about his baw
4.watch every troll come out of the woodwork in fear it happens to them
5.??????
6.Profit

But seriously, can't you just give him his editing rights back, and keep your eye on him.

I for one will be more careful with editing, and im sure anyone else reading this thread will be aswell.
