Advance Wars: Spring's current developers are...?

Post by Caydr »

Remember a long time ago I was working on this? Then another group came along and said they too were working on this? So I said, OK, I'm busy enough as it is, you do it. And then they disappeared? And then someone else said they were going to do it? Or something?

Well I need to get in contact with whoever's currently working on it as soon as possible, it's urgent. Could someone please point me in the right direction?

I think the original Advance War guy was sheekel... but I'm not sure... at least on THIS board I haven't seen hide nor hair of an Advance Wars mod for a LONG time... Random WIP thread I think the people working on it posted images of their progress.

Why a terrible idea? Advanced Wars is a nice concept - all buildings are acquired by capturing from neutral or player, all factions have the same unit-set but each faction has different global special-powers and stat-boosts for their units from their CO. Simple use of special-damages for RPS - it's pretty straightforwards, except for the CO stuff, and the CO would provide a nice edge to the game.

When the turn-based gadget was released I poked around at the idea, however not much work was completed. AFAIK no one else is/was working on the project.

Caydr, last time I asked you were not interested in cooperating with other devs to co-author a project, any chance you might reconsider?

The reason I made this post was to determine if anyone would want the AWSpring.com domain, my 2-year registration just ran out and I wanted to give them a chance to grab it, lest it risk getting grabbed by a spambot squatter site.

If nobody's working on it, no matter I guess.
