Also, i still recommend loading in SME and using the 16 bit raw export therein.

anyone still have the batch file needed to convert the weird interlaced-looking pgm output into something useful? from the description it sounds like just an imagemagick command.

never mind, i've fixed the pgm output, and made it output to photoshop raw, too (both 16-bit)

(i was making a map procedurally with lua scripts for http://members.gamedev.net/vertexnormal/hmapedit.html, only to realize it outputs in 8bit only. now am making a spring gadget, but there is no way as far as i know of retexturing a map with lua? therefore i'm hoping i'll use this thing to output and and make a static map out of it.)
