Hello
I have played spring for 2 months, I used to play TA in past and Supreme Commander. I really love spring but I have a problem.
(I read FAQ, and used forumÔÇÖs search and didn't find solution)
In 50% of my games suddenly happens "no sync response", Server says "No sync response from Vistritium's frame rate xxxxxxxx". When it happens, I see the whole game, I see what others says, but I can't do anything. I can't make orders or even I can't say messages. Server still saying "no sync response....(with other number of framerate). And game is finish for me, I can only watch. This problem happened to me through some spring versions. Not only this problem happens on BA mod, but on others as well. I played Spring on Windows xp and on Windows 7 and on both systems I had that problem.
This is very annnoying, waste plenty of my time. I saw that problem happened also to other players.
Can anyone help me?

"No sync response" problem

Re: "No sync response" problem
This message means you have heavy lag (like 10 seconds or more) or just network packet loss (which is usually what causes lag that high). So of course you can't see the results of your actions - because of lag you'll see them much later (use something like Advanced Player List to see exactly how big your lag is).
Anyway, the game is not really playable when that happens. And most probably this is caused by your internet connection (or some faulty router somewhere between you and game host).

No, that's not "heavy lag" because first, if it happens, it won't disappear to the end of the game. Second, I have good internet connection and I haven't any problems in other games. Third, I see the whole game without lags, the thing is I can't do anything.
Re: "No sync response" problem
yuritch is still right
seeing the game fluently (high FPS) has nothing to do with the network connection (lag), in spring. other games often use different techniques, where they are related.
short, it is something with your local network or internet connection, ...
not the games fault.

Re: "No sync response" problem
Use /info to see the player list, then read the Ping value to see how far behind the host your game is. If it is any more than ~500ms you are in trouble.
Possibly your upload or download speed is very limited, and the other games that you don't have problems with use even less bandwidth than spring. Try running an internet speed test (http://www.speedtest.net) when the problem occurs.
If the bandwidth seems ok, it could still be some kind of problem with your networking hardware (router).

Re: "No sync response" problem
open run, type "cmd", and type "ping -t www.[insert some site here that is hosted in your country].com". Generally results of less than 20 ms are more than good enough to play spring
Also take a look at active programs before you play spring. Make sure there are no netowkr-consuming applications at work (like torrent/download programs, or anything else that uses the internet)
Perhaps it is some malware? Do a virus/adware scan to see if that gives some hits.

Re: "No sync response" problem
Ok, the problem was antyvir. After I disable it I hadn't any interruptions. Thank you all, now I can enjoy playing spring
To everyone who have this same problem, my antyvir is
ESET NOD32 Antyvirus
