You, the consumer, receive what you are willing to pay for. You're willing to pay for sex symbols, large silicone breasts, lipstick "lesbians" who remain accessible to masculine fantasies, and proportions entirely unseen in reality... just as you pay for male characters who are categorically rugged, weathered and powerful.

Look at how any series has progressed. Look at Metroid, look at Soul Blade/Calibur...

Dunno if I would agree with that kaiser. There is nothing wrong with a woman being sexy and wearing it. The same thing could be said for those pitiful looking intellectuals or those dykish power women, IMO their appearance is inexcusable also.

I think it is just a really stylish chick who has the bits to look that way, there are amazing and beautiful people out there. Things are not cookie cutter stereotypes and I think society is being silly. For a long time women could not be sexy now it is considered cooler to be that sort of pseudo grudge hippy look. I think it is repulsive and they look less socially aware then these "fashinistas" we are seeing these days.

I get so tired of people hating real or imaginary people for looking beautiful or showy. It is like you guys have bought so much into the anti-objectification of women that you forget how lucky they are to evoke such thoughts in the minds of men. Don't get me wrong we guys can be quite dashing in our own way but I bet most of the guys on this forum toss on a t-shirt and random pair of pants most of the time.

I think the celebration of a womans, well her womanhood, is appropriate and probably the purest old school femist thing possible. I am not talking garafello lesbian feminist, I am talking confident and proud women who are not afraid of the gaze of a man. Of course, what do I matter, I am the silent minority of people who fully believe that hot girl should wear her miniskirt confidently and be proud of her body. If you want women to bottle themselves up in some long blue jean skirt like some pentecostal that is all well and good but you should also accept the other extreme that confident and proud woman who works hard at being beautiful. If any of this sounds superficial punch yourself in the genitals next time you find yourself admiring a flower for being beautiful to look at!

There is a slight flaw in your argumentation. Bayonetta is not a real woman. She was designed by a man. She's the projection of a man's phantasm.

I agree with Smoth. I don't like how some people have to try to tear someone or something down for being beautiful and can't just appreciate the beauty.

I like the character's confident and stylish look.

There's nothing wrong with the Bayonetta character, imo. She's not exactly pornographic or even all that suggestive, at least in the video.

Badass females in shape-hugging gear, however unrealistic, are not exactly new, this has been the marketing trend since chainmail-bikini girls in D&D.

The game's obviously a lot more hyped on violence than cleavage. I mean, you summon dragons with your hair that munch on the souls of the slain. Downright Cthulhu-esque, imo.

Personally I despise such characters of women in games not cause I'm against objectification of women, not at all.
I despise them because I immediately get a picture in my head of guys drooling at her picture and buying the game.
I despise the idea that now cause she was made to be hot i need to roll my tongue out and pay an extra 10$ for the game.
This purposeful marketing based on some busty female character is so vulgar and dumbed down..
Fuck,at least market a game in some awesome smart way.
Some original campaign or something.
This is low...and its insulting to me that devs expect me to run to the store and buy a game cause it has a character with tits the size of watermelon.
In some cases they go so over the top i am outright disgusted by the characters, just makes me wanna hurl sometimes.

Bye the way.lol at this: Image

No you are an idiot.
Porn is very different form an action computer game.
Attract me with the gameplay, with the story but dont expect me to give a game extra points just cause they made a female char than needs a wagon to carry her breasts.
Read my post and think it over.
After that go and drool over your "post-feminism" and the "pure beauty" of this computer character.

Those look like good proportions to me. I generally think that stronger looking legs are better, though.

I will now stop to look at every billboard and advert for underwear, parfume or whatever to admire this beautiful and strong people.
[...]hot girl should wear her miniskirt confidently and be proud of her body.
There is a difference between this and a videogame character who is desisgned to attract as many customers as possible. Or hyped up popstars who wiggle their wigglewoggle things around in every video. At a point its not sexy anymore and gets annoying (yeah iam gay now  )
Nothing wrong with display of hot women but sometimes (like this) it just feels so calculated and planned.

I bet most of the guys on this forum toss on a t-shirt and the same pair of pants most of the time.

well shit, im just saying

i dont even find big floppy titted girls attractive IRL so much.

and wow, that was a BIG self-censor.

but im just saying. not that i dont enjoy looking at tits, i just think that if i were to cite some IRL observations of girls that i that are hot, and also respect, would probably give me a punch in the face for even sitting there and thinking about it.

and yes i AM extremely guilty of thinking of women as objects. you've hit the nail on the head and you dont even know me irl.

what KDR posted; id be happy if my 6 year old daughter idolized that video game character. zipper up the ass character? not so much.

i hope that made even a little sense. reigning in el penor one day at a time.

edit :ffff im sure the games awesome. and hot girls are hot. sorry

double edit : ive decided. my friend is gonna be the model for the main character of the game im working away at! and shes dead sexy and doesnt ever show a scrap of skin. and she could kick all of your asses at once. so THUR!

6-years-old is too young for this game even if you can see movies, advertisements and women are more scantly clad than that on a daily basis (acrobats, ballet dancers, plenty of people who are into athletics wear less clothes than that). It would be better if she had a Nintendo Wii game like Boom Blocks. It would certainly be best if you make sure you look at the game content before showing games to your 6-year-old and make sure you talk to her when she gets older.

The zipper I'm sure is just a stylistic fashion thing. I don't have a particular liking for clothes with a lot of zippers on them like that, but it's popular for video game characters. Hopefully, a lot of people understand that, but there is a fad going around right now where people wear clothes with zippers and chains and also wear lots of black eye make up (guys included).

Why the hell is it people worry more about fucking sexuality and nudity more than murder? Jesus Christ, so she looks revealing and what not but jesus christ there's a shit load of violence in the game. I never understood why people get worked up about nudity when violence and murder is portrayed in the same medium but doesn't get that much controversy.
