@GMN: Mainly just needs more contrast / sharpen, and a bit stronger preshading. Really, it's not bad as it is, but you're asking for quibbling, so there you go- strengthen the contrasts, accentuate the lighting more.

Yeah TF has a cartoonish style but that character looks like it could have been taken directly from Empire Earth in terms of unit style.
I dont think everything needs to look like TF Unreal or medal of honor but.
If making a unit look like its a unit from some old game can be said to be a stylistic choice than fine.
If there is gonna be some shader that will add detail to it than fine otherwise it just needs more detailed.
If the face for example look much more like a real face with more detail it would in no way detract of any stylistic choice that influenced the texture creation of the unit.

Suggestion.
Maybe make it a bit warmer looking?
The tank looks cute and i think the grey texturing is not the best.

... I can see what you mean, howere (as smoth pointed out), this was the style I was going for, and I'm trying to make sure it doesn't look tooo warhammer like.

When I get some time I'll do a group shot so you can see how it fits in.
smoth wrote:yan, the texture is fine, that is the stylistic approach agorm is going for.

Higher resolution does not mean better.

Not everything has to be rusty and worn.
Thanks smoth... I hate how apparently new gear is always battle worn!

Finaly, GMN, I think if anything its the knees and the fact the face looks blured... which may be the texture resolution, but I suspect its more just its got soft as you worked on it... (In either case... I normaly give more texture space to the face as its were most people look first...)

That said I realy like it, its still a great model!

I agree,for a spring game it is.
Maybe there is something about spring that makes making nice living characters a pain(same issue in s44 and pure)?
The tank is Superb really.

By the way make a bee model already.

Higher resolution do not mean more detailed, you can have highly detailed low res textures.

But the amount of detail you can include depends on the resolution of the texture.

Yes,NO ONE.
Only if no one means Smoth, tribulex and Panda.
Its that childish desire to do that little annoying thing to the other that will make you feel better about yourself.

To be fair, he seems to stick to Gota here in the forums, and Basic (that's him too, right?) in the lobby. It's been years since he was changing nicks faster than socks.
