anybody ever worked with it? i was thinking of throwing together a little browser FPS game, and it would be cool if someone from the community could help or offer advice.

I got director, but I never managed to get a simple shape in that black window
You can import all kinds of 3D model file types, though.

:>

i have a basic FPS set up in a havok simulation (gun that shoots and gives force)

like what you said, it accepts a ton of formats, and 3ds max 7 and lower gives you the option to export a havok physics model (so that you don't have to painstakingly build it with code from within the projector)

basically looking at how i can turn it into a game; the next big step is figuring out how to program AI (i have boxes that charge unconditionally towards your character, but they don't really count)

hopefully it will turn into something like a combination of halo 3 ODST firefight and space invaders.

(i'm sure i'll be back in this thread in no time, whining for AI opponent pseudocode)

hmm...
is it actionScript scripting that director uses?
Or some kind of special script?
I can't really figure that out :?
At least I even build artificial neural networks with AS3, so if you need a hand with AS3 here and there I'd be happy to help :)
