Its a real shame, thats such a nice model, but Mr.D already made a croc. So at best its in competition.

Or, you allow the role to dictate the unit inclusion. Can they fill two separate roles? Is there a need for multiple amphibious tanks? Poison Arrow?

There's no need for any amphibious tanks. They end up needing bot slope tolerance so all amphibious units will have bot models to be less confusing for the user. Mr.D's croc is being used as the Panther.

The tank has a popup gun so it could always be used as some kind of armour mod based tank.

If you look at the mr.d croc its almost identical. It would be odd having them side-by-side. I suppose you could edit their weapons so one has a single, longer gun, or such.

And as google said, not ideal for CA: essentially they have to be bots with tank models which is weird. Its perhaps a tad dogmatic, i know, but we do end up using the models elsewhere.

Of course, this thread is all about CA....

Part of amphib tanks in battle is having something cool like a tank with tolerance like a kbot

'Cool like a tank', neat, why not just make all units tanks then, then they can all be 'cool'!
Of course, this thread is all about CA....
*groan* Googles reasoning is a general one, tanks with kbot slope are kind of stupid, regardless of mod. But he was responding specifically to Neddie, who was responding to me. My point was merely to point out that this is really only an obstacle for CA, not for other mods, and that even there maybe its a bit dogmatic of us (I am being conciliatory). Why did i say that? Because i predicted someone making just this kind of sarcy remark. Stop taking any mention of CA or model implimentation/discussion there as a personal attack.

Lets try not to get distracted though and remain productive.

The Croc can be found here:
http://trac.caspring.org/browser/trunk/ ... orseal.S3O
here:
http://trac.caspring.org/browser/trunk/ ... _2_512.dds
and here:
http://trac.caspring.org/browser/trunk/ ... _1_512.dds

Dunno why its not in that post, someone should really edit that to make the addition, ill crosspost this.

Edit:
Nice manolo, taking the 'hedgehog' thing literally there hey? :D

Thank you! Oh God! Oh joy! An acronym! I love acronyms! Now I know everything there is to know about this strange green alien thing! You've enlightened me! The illusions of space and time have peeled back to reveal the truth of my existence! Of existence in general! I am one with the universe! I am omniscient! Omnipotent! Omnipresent! An omnivorous omnidirectional omnibus!

Thank you - really, thank you.

Justification: You can zoom in really close, and still be jizzin'

It looks very good but can't the texture be like 2x higher res?

It could be, but it doesn't need to be. Those textures are higher resolution than the source material, and higher resolution than the textures of commercial titles related to the source material.
