Question about factories

Post by polarstar_111 »

It was my opinion that in CA, all units from whatever factory are supposed to be useful at some point. Why then are "T2" factories more expensive than "T1" ones if the units they build aren't better? Shouldn't they cost around the same?

You're right. Thats a very valid point. Ill fix this now.

*fixes*

There, done. In fact, i fixed it so hard that the change has now been retroactively implemented a year ago. Now thats fixed.

We value your feedback!

It doesnt necessarily follow that the factories should cost the same though, requiring some to have more overhead so they come out later- say a factory with a very strong start (whose units are not 'just better' but are very good early on) might cost more to give you less to spend on the units themselves. Though we adjusted all factories to cost the same just for the sake of flat balance, as a control measure, to ensure that we're balancing based on unit cost, not factory cost. Now after a year it works fine and there is no reason to change it.

Don't worry about it. As thorough as the CA dev team is, there is always stuff that gets missed. And polite, informative feedback like from you and willbefast is always appreciated.

So let it make you hesitate to give more feedback in the future :-)
