Moveable waypoints/structure-placement

Post by wilbefast »

Not sure if this has been suggested or even implemented through lua, but it's something that I think Supreme Commander did very well (optimisation meanwhile is an example of something it didn't do very well): shift showed all waypoints and paths, as well as structure planned, and you could drag them around by holding left-click.

This was particularly handy for building placement - if one building was slightly off you didn't need to cancel the whole list of orders and start again, you could go back and tweak it afterwards.
It was also extremely handy for readjusting patrol routes and worked well in combination with the ferry system.

Ferrying works differently in Spring, but I reckon as a whole it would be a handy addition.

yeah i'd love to see moveable waypoints/buildings in spring, also reordering commands would be great.

This minor part has already been done too.
