So a couple people from my gaming group are talking about programming a virutal table-top program for running gaming sessions... with the idea that it would be designed to run on a television while it was controlled through the network using a lap-top.

Best suggestions for already existing products that would support this functionality?

My group tried a couple things like this including Map Tools....none of them were really useful for IRL roleplaying.

I saw such a thing on /tg/ also neverwinter nights allows for programmable modules with custom art etc.
