Hey everyone! I just had an argument with a random guy in a completely separate community. I think I'll post my fallacious responses to his statements here, along with sweeping statements about a stereotype I have formed that I feel applies to this user.

It's probably worth mentioning that when I say linux idiots, in this case I am referring to people who think that they are superior because they are running linux.

Also, earlier in the conversation, this guy mentioned that he was running gw in ubuntu. I'm a linux noob, and within 3 hours of installing ubuntu I had already accomplished that along with learning sudo usage.

Running linux doesn't make you into a rocket scientist overnight.

I've tried my hand at all the games you have listed here, Guild Wars isn't much better than WOW, sure it has the visuals, but the game is still very homosexual, and you should really keep it to your clan mates and your close friends that you play it.

What clanmates? I play it by myself (whom I never talk to, and only know one even a little bit. I needed a luxon guild, so I joined a small one so that I can still pvp in FA and JQ). There are 8 people in the guild that I am in atm, and only 8 people are holding 800k faction (as you may or may not know, you lose x amount of faction every day which must be regained via pvp. Say what you like, but you're a troll anyway, so what you say generally has little relevance. I'm guessing you never made it to the pvp stage, or even the pve portion. What you may not realize is that while the pve portion is huge, massive, etc, it's only a primer for pvp.

Sure demigod feels alot better than HON in some sections, but you cant deny the game feels like a fucking demo for a real game lol.

Since you've only played the demo... How is that shocking? It's like saying the trial version felt like a trial version... Oh wai-. HoN is just sad. Course while I thought the idea was interesting, I also thought that DOTA (the actual game) was quite lame. The idea is awesome, just the implementation was rather lame.

Not a paradox, fairly common really. Guilds are avenues. I haven't talked to anyone in mine for months on end. To play Alliance Battles, Jade Quarry, or Fort Aspenwood, you have to either be in a luxon or kurzick guild (or ask people for a 12 hours guest invite).

You can ask Gota (basic), he played Demigod along with me, we both found it too short, and lacking in quantity.

Sad? Demigod is a hop, skip and jump less it should be.

Grind is what makes MMORPG's last longer, it also makes leveling some kind of achievement.

If what you say is true, then its just as bad as i left it, people join clans with no intention of being helpfull, and are only doing it to progress to the next level, and or quest.

This just really defies the whole point of the game itself, and theres no reason why you should have the MMO on the front, unless you count deathmatching a great side to it.

Theres plenty of RPG's that have AI controlled guilds, you might want to try out some of their gameplay.

Sigh, you missed the point. AB FA JQ are the only things in pvp you can't do without a guild. Plus FA and JQ are random teams (unless you go throught he trouble of syncing), so regardless of whether your guild is there or not doesn't matter much.

Considering that all that I do in pvp is in JQ and FA, not real shocking. I also contribute faction like crazy, but I rarely see anyone online cause I generally play in the wee hours of the morning.

I've been in several guilds where everyone was very much together on everything, but now I jsut want to play casually. My guild understands that, and doesn't bother me because I generate the most faction of anyone in it.
