naked mole rats have a truly amazing social structure, it's reminiscent of bees

one queen does all the breeding with a few males and everybody else is a worker, with divisions into stuff like soldier/tunneler. other females don't breed even though they're perfectly capable of it. when the queen has children, the entire colony takes part in feeding them.
