Ok ok, I lie, a little white lie anyway :-)

This is a Re-Release. Many folks didn't care for the texturing on the last attempt, so when Beherith posted a carrara tutorial, I thought "Hey why not?". So I re-textured it.

I have playtested it muchly, and it plays really nice in both Evolution RTS and BA. In BA bots can scale the hills in the middle. Tanks and bots both can scale the plateau's at the top and bottom and of course all units can cross the streams.

In Evolution all con units can make it to the tops of the middle hills (albeit barely).

I like it, this texture makes it look much more alive and fun. Whats the size btw?

ABout the texture, the massive majority of people won't notice, butt here were some issues. For example, I rendered it with the height too high, so the bumpmapping was really rough, and a few other really minor things.

But I photoshopped the hell out of it ironing out the not so great stuff, and I think it turned out really well, but as a result of all this, I learned how to use carrara a lot better, and I LOVE Carrara's texturing style. It's fucking beautiful. Thanks for the tut Behe, I would have never bothered to figure out all that on my own, and you made it super duper easy (I just had to use a little common sense here and there).

If you get a change try it out and let me know what you think (texture and gameplay wise) so I'll know what to do/not to do next time. My mapping skills are fairly rusty, but it is in many respects like riding a bike. Only things I'm behind on is all the stuff that has changed in spring mapping in the past 2 years, so really I haven't missed a whole hell of a lit, but there still is a good bit of catching up to do :-)
