Well maybe I just have a personal dislike of people who sum themselves up in a single statement (At one point I met a man who said 'Hi, my name's Dave and I'm a vegan) and use it to base their entire outward persona and world view.neddiedrow wrote:Well, Lollicide, you would not say that all men who revel in their masculinity or all women who revel in their femininity are attention whores, would you? But in regards to TG/TS, this is really a non-regular subset of humanity in terms of numbers and thus would attract the attention of...well, attention whores, people who need the attention regardless of the type and because of the minority (And the public confusion/revulsion) this attention is amplified in those attention psyches.
In regards to the terms, yes, its good to use specific terms, especially when referencing specific societal/psychological ideas, but I'm all for appropriate context. This is a gaming forum after all.
