I do not have an ati card but I am looking at using lups so I wanted to ask in CA what are the effects that you guys cannot see?
Can you see fire?
Can you see the aircraft flares?
what can not see, what can you see?
What LUPS effects are not rendered in ati.

Not an ATI user, but I have an intel onboard chip so I see many of the same bugs.
Last time I used a Pyro, all flame was invisible - including the weapon.

most or all LUPS effects work for me, but flame colors get inverted when I alt+tab sometimes O_o
Re: What LUPS effects are not rendered in ati.
what about aircraft flares, you know the fire coming out of their engines.
Re: What LUPS effects are not rendered in ati.
On my ATI pc napalm bombers and generally any flames make me go ~1fps. Also cloak effect.
Re: What LUPS effects are not rendered in ati.
i recently gave away my old ATI x1950 that i used to play Spring on and can at least tell you what i used to see on version .80.x (mainly CA-mod)
+ fire effects and napalm things
+ disortion effects of heat and explosion
+ smoke trails and airplane trails
+ the effect of semi transparent cloaked units ( cloaking in CA )
- basicly everthing i see on people shiny screenshots i have too. even we have tons of trouble somethimes with textures and icons being scrambled or white/black due to inproper driver openGL support and whatnot

Re: What LUPS effects are not rendered in ati.
so mostly it is the fire effect that has issues?
Re: What LUPS effects are not rendered in ati.
Most, not all, of this isn't bugs per se, it's just that your chipset doesn't support the OpenGL 2.0 specification, which is required to compile GLSL.Not an ATI user, but I have an intel onboard chip so I see many of the same bugs.
