Let's tack on a few more. Your commander talks about the great depression a lot, and every once in a while he gets angry and yells at a cloud. Also he pees himself.1v0ry_k1ng wrote:this seems like the best idea ever produced on these forumsmomfreeek wrote:your commander starts in a wheelchair and moves at half speed
Re: PONG
if widget support is added in pregame, we can do awesome load screens or minigames while waiting for the game to load.
more magical load screens would probably make the game seem much more professional.
the test spring screen could also be lua'd
edit: base pong widget made http://springrts.com/phpbb/viewtopic.ph ... 0&p=359517

Re: PONG
I wonder if anyone else noticed that the patent only applies if the game is played while the main game is being loaded, as in only if the player can play it while his game on his pc gets loaded.
Since spring loading time takes usually few seconds, it would be worthless to make a minigame in that time anyway, while in the "ready-up" phase it wouldn't infringe this patent.

Re: PONG
just to be clear, i made that suggestion coz it took ages at my pc to be ingame (amd 3000+, ati 9700), so i thought a simple game like pong would be nice for that time and i wouldnt care if it takes 45 or 50 secs, when i could play such a lil game

Re: PONG
If your playing pong, and your game is struggling to load spring, do you honestly not think adding more proccesing to your cpu, (even if its a shitty game) would make game load slower, and or crash?manolo_ wrote:just to be clear, i made that suggestion coz it took ages at my pc to be ingame (amd 3000+, ati 9700), so i thought a simple game like pong would be nice for that time and i wouldnt care if it takes 45 or 50 secs, when i could play such a lil game

Lol this is great. Then the noobs would be like NO IM HAVENT BEATEN THE LEVEL YET when their com/starting unit is idling on the battlefield for 1 minute.neddiedrow wrote:What if readying up enabled a menu of lua titles? It could be used as incentive to actually get ready for the game.
