vulcan / buzzsaw don't fire
the VLRPCs for both sides don't seem to fire. anybody else have this problem?
Re: vulcan / buzzsaw don't fire
Do you have enough energy production / storage? Is the aiming blocked?js_leitch wrote:the VLRPCs for both sides don't seem to fire. anybody else have this problem?
Re: vulcan / buzzsaw don't fire
Small suggestion....
Do not build Vulcan or its counter part in BA.
They require so much E and cost so much that your better off doing something else like making berthas or the core counterpart one after another.
Vulcan is more expensive for what it gives and is als oa much easier target for bombers.

It's not trolling.
Go check stats newb.
To make a Vulcan as efficient as just building Berthas you'd have to make it cheaper and more effective per E usage since the Bertha equivalents of a Vulcan start firing from the first Bertha built and are much more flexible and can be built in different places covering more ground.
And Berthas are less susceptible to Bomber spams since they take much more space and can be built far apart.

Re: vulcan / buzzsaw don't fire
I just tested it and it looks like it won't fire if you give it an attack order against something blocked, such as inside of a crater.
Re: vulcan / buzzsaw don't fire
Yeah the vulcan is pretty useless. Instead of the price/firepower of about 10 berthas, I'd like to see it be more about 4 and actually more efficient to build.Gota wrote:Small suggestion....

Re: vulcan / buzzsaw don't fire
OP asked a question about why his Vulcan wasn't firing. Not whether or not it is a good idea to build a Vulcan.
Re: vulcan / buzzsaw don't fire
Well i think my advice is much more helpfull than any answer telling him how to properly use a vulcan.
Re: vulcan / buzzsaw don't fire
It won't fire against targets it has no direct LOS to, such as units hiding in a crater. I've also noticed it doesn't fire on moving targets if it can't track them fast enough.
Re: vulcan / buzzsaw don't fire
It should have much faster tracking speed imo, it should have at least some advantage over the berthaSgt Doom wrote:It won't fire against targets it has no direct LOS to, such as units hiding in a crater. I've also noticed it doesn't fire on moving targets if it can't track them fast enough.

Re: vulcan / buzzsaw don't fire
vulcan is a great unit. i have so many good replays (with great gameplay, no noobfests) with it. its the only unstoppable weapon in the game - except you build billions of shields. if you get and keep it up, you WILL eradicate the bases in its range.hurrr vulcan is teh noobz
also: trolled
Re: vulcan / buzzsaw don't fire
Thanks. I'm kinda noob and I always forget E storage.REVENGE wrote:Do you have enough energy production / storage? Is the aiming blocked?

Sorry all, I thought I'd found a bug. *slinks away*

You only need E storage in BA if your at the begining of the game and u expect to push with ur com and dgun a lot.js_leitch wrote:Thanks. I'm kinda noob and I always forget E storage.REVENGE wrote:Do you have enough energy production / storage? Is the aiming blocked?

Re: vulcan / buzzsaw don't fire
Or if you want to use a vulcan / buzzsaw apparently..?
Re: vulcan / buzzsaw don't fire
Vulcan and Buzzsaw need a bigger death explosion, like something 3x the core nuke blast that wipes out the entire half of a map.
If somebody seriously wasted enough time to build a vulcan, they deserve to die and their team with right along with them.

Actually not a bad idea... what if they were cheaper/faster to build, but took out your whole base when they die? Might be interesting...MR.D wrote:Vulcan and Buzzsaw need a bigger death explosion, like something 3x the core nuke blast that wipes out the entire half of a map.

Re: vulcan / buzzsaw don't fire
Well that create balancing issues?
Re: vulcan / buzzsaw don't fire
the vulcan / buzzsaw are fine
they are not supposed to be cost efficent, they are game ender weapons

It requires less micromanagement.Cephei wrote:the vulcan / buzzsaw are fine

In an FFA, it would be a viable choice, but, under any other condition, like teamgames, I would prefer not to use it.
