Lag spikes in CA/CA Chicken Defense

Post by HoliestCow »

When i play CA or CA Chicken defense i get about 80 fps, but every so often i get a lag spike(3-4 minutes) where my ping goes to 7k and i get 0-1 fps but then it goes away after 5 seconds but it happens every 3-4 minutes. I have tryed setting the settings to low but it did nothing, i can play any other spring mod on max and get 90 fps and no lag spikes, this even happens when Im the host as well.

system spec's

9800 nvida g-force havok-physics
3gb ram
intel pentium dual core processor
and 40gb of hdd space left

I've been having this problem as well while playing with the OP - every so often the framerate goes down the shitter. These bursts are only on CA as far as I can tell, and they seem to be completely at random, on both the client and the server. One having a burst doesn't mean the other is.

I've got 4GB physical RAM (but since I have XP it only uses 3 of course)
NVidia 8800 GTS 320MB
Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 3.0GHz

Hmm try this

1) disable threaded optimization in your video drivers

2) disable Vsync in spring settings

3) delete luaui/configs/widget_order.lua (this resets enabled widgets to default configuration)
