Hi,

I have a problem with starting a match. I installed Spring an my Kubuntu 9.04 (KDE4) and done everything as usual, but if I try to start a match, this error appears:

Code: Select all

Could not set video mode:

Here's the infolog:

Code: Select all

Enabled log subsystems: Sound

I'm using driver version 180.44 with a Nvidia GTX 285. I had an Ubuntu before I Installed Kubuntu (KDE is just better than Gnome), and there I played Spring without any problems. glxgears and Games like Flatout 2 or Trackmania United Forever with Wine are running perfectly.

(I had problems to install the graphic driver normally, so I had to install EnvyNG and install the driver with it. But how I said, everything else but Spring runs fine.)

reduce anti aliasing in the options and make sure that the resolution you're using in the settings is supported by your screen / graphic card

if all fails, try turning on windowed mode

 I am a newbie and I have same problem on linux. Using spring engine 94.1

I could not even find the parameter to set the anti aliasing.

What should I exactly write in the config file?

Try

Code: Select all

echo "FSAA = 0" >> ~/.springrc
