new 080.2 crashing while going to desktop

actually not at all but playing in a window should stop the crashes.

I'm no expert but I do know there's some option in the Spring Settings that you can toggle if you're having problems alt tabbing.

just did a fresh install with 0.80.2 and same result.......

running fresh with 2 maps and 2 mods

comet + tropical

BA 6.96 + BA 7

i tried togglying that setting jaz, if you mean the tick this box to fix rendering on alt+tab, well i had it ticked already.. unticking made no diff..

get this at the end of the infolog..

disable fpsmanager widget and make sure you don't have bumpwater enabled.

I have same prob and more...

my com shown up wrong graphics(eg. darker, a lot of lines dots and here some screenshot) when switch to windows and back to spring.

I haven't got this prob until 080.2 come, although reload luaui does not help

doing this several time make it crash.

Mod: Excess Spring PB
Map: Desert Traid

OS: Windows XP SP3

Hi Guys

okay can confirm the problem all along is the bump mapped water setting..

9.8 cats work great

9.5s game is 100%

Discovered where the problem lies, when bump mapped water is in use the game fails to load past "rendering sky" when a water map is played...(fine playing land map, but it will crash when you go to desktop)

both returning to the desktop / loading past "rendering sky" is fixed when bump mapped is not selected..

can this be fixed ?

Perhaps some setting in Catalyst control Centre that can be changed ?

go into spring settings..

file>>reset settings to default values

also your problem looks very likely to be a graphics card driver issue..

Have you tried older / newer drivers ?

might also help to make sure your direct X is upto date..

lastly do a complete fresh install of spring in a different folder with just 1 mod and map

I have the same problem on 80.2 on nvidia.

I fixed it by setting water from Bumpmaped to reflective.
