Whenever I try to join a game it appears that everyone else is stuck waiting for me to join.
However, I do make it into the game and can float around the map and read anyone else's chat, with the game saying that is it is still waiting for me to connect.
If I try to host, other players get stuck in "waiting for response from server" screen.
If I spectate a game, I do not show up in the spectator list and I continously generate out of sync errors in the game, but I can follow the entire game without any trouble at all.
Throughout all this, I cannot send chat to anyone.
I am not behind any firewall or router, nor do I have any torrents or any p2p software running and do not have any trouble doing anything else online.
Any ideas on what could be causing this and how to fix it?
Problem when connecting to games.

wacky, no idea how to fix it but we used to get similar effects if one overloaded the communication to the server (selected 20 cons and asked them all to build 100 solars for example would have done it)... and the fact that its happening when you are the server confuses the matter... My guess would have been p2p/firewall/router too.
Very odd, is this the first version of Spring you are using? If not, when did the problem start happening.
Also, when reporting bug, mention:
Operating system e.g.(Ubuntu/redhat/Windows XP/Vista/etc)
Serice Packs/versions e.g.(XPSp1a/2000 sp3/Ubuntu 6/Ubuntu 7/etc)
Graphics card e.g.(nvidia GF 6600/ATI 9900/etc)
cpu e.g.(AMD duron 1.4Ghz/Intel core 2 duo e6600 2.5Ghz)
ram e.g.(2GB DDR2/512MB SDRAM/etc)
And upload the infolog.txt to http://pastebin.com and post a link to it.

Re: Problem when connecting to games.
All this are symptoms caused by a unnormal high package loss on your connection (upload). Your download is OK, as you can see player chat e.g. Also, some packets must came through, otherwise you would jsut lag out after 30 seconds.
Possible reasons include:
Possible reasons include:
- instable connection (wifi), try cable instead
- broken network hardware (broken cables, crappy router)
- connection overloaded (try disabling all apps which cause upload, including p2p, trojans etc.
- your ISP drops alot of packets
Re: Problem when connecting to games.
Alright, this is my system:
Operating system: Windows Vista Service pack 1
Graphics Card: nvidia Geforce 8400 GS
Cpu: Intel core 2 duo e2200 @ 2.2Ghz)
ram:2 Gb DDR2
and my last infolog of my latest failed attempt at getting into a game:
http://pastebin.com/m4acdaf78
I tried changing the cable, no good. And as far as I know, my ISP is niether evil nor is it having some technical faults right now.
I suppose that leaves a possible infection on my PC as the cause? I had already scanned with Avira and it didn't help, maybe have it do a more thorough scan?
EDIT: Yes, this is the first time I've used spring.

Re: Problem when connecting to games.
can you perhaps borrow a laptop from somebody just for a 5 min test? we need to rule out if it's your computer.
you could also try with a different network card if you have a desktop and a spare.
