How do I lock my camera mode?

Post by js_leitch »

SpringSettings.exe has an option to prevent certain camera angles from being cycled through in-game, but only the first few. How do I keep from changing to smooth camera mode when I click my middle mouse button?

Well is should only change when you do shift+middle click.

If your on windows, and you've changed your settings, there should be a springsettings.cfg in your Spring directory. Open that with notepad or such and insert this: SmoothEnabled=0 . You should be good then :).

Edit: Forb, like Caydr has expressed elsewhere, switching on Shift and Middle click is not necessarily very welcome - I can understand the sentiment in wanting to disable all but the Cam you really want to use.

Yeah, the shift+middle click thing can be annoying if you're trying to queue up commands and have to rotate your view. I'll try the config file when I get home.

Uh.. there's no file called springsettings.cfg in my Spring directory. I created the file and put that text in it, but it didn't have any effect. I'm running v0.79.1 on Windows Vista, if that might make a difference.

Now that I know why it was happening, though, it'll be easier to avoid.
