I believe, and I may be mistaken, that this bug has returned.

After playing spring for about half a year, I decided to transfer from TAS to SpringLobby. In the process I found out that there had been a new spring version released, and I promptly downloaded it from this website.
I now have an error that comes up on attempted connection to any server. It reads:

Code: Select all

*connects
A connection could not be established with the server
Would you like to try again with the same server?
No to switch to the next server in the list
Yes/No/Cancel

If at this time I tell it Yes,it comes back with the same error. If I say No, it sends me back to the login form. If I say cancel, it kicks me off and doesn't display the login form.
Under that window is a message that reads:

Code: Select all

No update available. Please download the latest version of the software from the official spring web site: http://spring.clan-sy.com

This code is repeated for each time I click on the Yes button on the first window.
Underneath that is a window that reads:

Code: Select all

No compatible installed spring version has been found, this server requires version: 0.79.1
Your current installed versions are: 0.78.2
Online play is currently disabled.

any help with this problem would be appreciated.

I'm changing the thread title to Bloody's error list so as not to clutter up the forum with multiple threads.
I am planing on bumping this thread until I get answers. If I am in the wrong place please tell me.
my second problem is thus: I was playing a game on SpeedMetal and about 10 minutes in Spring crashed and gave me an error message pointing me to the infolog.txt for a stacktrace. the stacktrace reads thus:

Being new to spring and not having, as yet, a chance to familiarize myself with the base code, I have no idea what this means. I am using the 0.79.2 version as I am waiting for the 0.8 version to go to the server.

this later bug you had was fixed already in master.
for a way to workaround this issue, see this message:

i can not guarantee for this to work, but maybe it will prevent you from getting the error till the next release.
for future bug reports, please post the whole infolog.txt to pastebin.com and link it.
