There is #lua for lua development, there is #moddev for mod/game development.
Why not #mapdev for map development?

I think the whole channel issue is partially becasue the list of channels is so "hard" to look in and joining channels is also not noob friendly.
there are 3 steps that are not friendly to the user.
1)joining new channels.
2)browsing the channel list.
3)putting channels on autojoin.
The whole channel interaction should be much simpler IMO.
We should at least be able to press a button to browse all channel and double click to join them.
Guess these are lobby issues?

Just go into #mapping. We've had useful activity there... when multiple people are there.
