I was just thinking, despite my complete lack of coding, texturing, modelling knowlege... this could be a really cool idea.

basically it would be a GIANT ROBOT MONSTER MOD, with a difference, you only get 1...

My idea is that you start with a commander as normal and an "egg", the egg would be a self destroying factory, it would build 1 UBER giant moster at rediculousely high cost and then send it out to do rediculousely high damage and/or detroy the other guys monster... the build time would be really fast so it would be a matter of waiting till you have enough resources to build the thing and it would wipe you dry and instabuild (no need for spamming it)...

It would kind of encourage porking and such, basically building a high producing, huge amount of storage, well defended infrastructure that can support and withstand the giant monsters attacks, when the giant robot goes active, it will drain all of your metal and energy to 0 while it's running , or just be prohibitively expensive to move it and make it fire...

the monsters would be based on the gozilla and other giant monster movies...

Ahh, kinda like Age of Mythology: The Titans, eh?

Maestro's Dragoth would fit in quite well...
