looks quite nice althou some comments and questions:

Can we get a top downview, so we can see if land and sea are easy to be distinct?
And is the water deep enough for ships?
Also imo it's a bit too dark
Also i hope there isn't too much metal, and not too much wind/tidal.

Here are some updated screen shots of my maps I'm working on.
I've taken a screen shot of a top down look, a screen shot of
the metal map and the others are water shots. The metal deposits
are few compared to other maps. Their are 4 metal patch
values. The most you can get with a regular mex is .4 and the
lowest is .1. When using adv. mex's the most is 2.5.

The map is mostly water, so their is no chance for a land rush :lol:

If someone could create a very dark map that relied on light sources such as those in the new model format...

I like it, but I think the sky's too green - it makes the ground blend in with the sky sometimes. Otherwise very pretty. My only problem is that units just aren't really designed to be easily distinguished on dark maps - even just on dark backgrounds. I hope units will take advantage of the lumen map in the new models - particularly including teamcolor parts so you can plainly see which team each unit is on.

I've did some changes to the sky, metal and a few other things ... :-)
Now here are the last of the screen shots I'm going to do for this
map. I'm going to release it in a few hours.

It's a 16x16 map with low metal and alot of water to build metal
makers. 8) Most of the metal in the water areas. I'm calling the
map Corium-Mars ....

I like this map. The only issue that comes to mind is of balance. Player 1 starts next to two geysers and lots of landmass, while player 2 starts on an isolated island with very little room. Aside from this it looks cool and I'm sure it will play well.

lol funny on my screen at home the pictures looked really extremely dark It was so dark you couldn't really see the differance between a total black tex map

but here on the univ on a tft screen it look great!

guess i'll increase my brightness abit : ) hope my maps arent hyperbright on your screens : )
