Supplanting the spring unit shaders with lua?

I could have sworn JK or Kloot at some people and time said they wrote a lua shader gadget to supplant the current shaders used in spring.

I have had a lot of personal crap going on and am super scatter brained, been so for over a month and I am sorry if I have asked already, I forget the answer.

I am asking because if someone has written it I would like to use it. I wanted to do a bit more with the unit textures and this would give me the base I need.

A good stand-alone example to get started is the normal-mapping shader gadget I wrote that Argh has been messing around with; his thread in G&M has a link. (Drop a PM if you want the original code.)
