XTA Soundtrack

Post by TheMightyOne »

I saw that werdo proposed to make a Spring soundtrack, why not also make a XTA soundtrack? ^^ in case werdo ever will be willing to make a soundtrack for his favorite spring mod what kind of music would you guys want it to be?

i personally would prefer something that would sound like "infected mushroom" meaning electro music with some e-guitar riffs. nothing "big" (cant find a better word.. e.g. star wars or the TA soundtrack) but something "agressive" that would put you into fighting mood :)

Why not just use the Ota soundtrack? seriously I do not understand why we have to make our own.

yooodles yoodles yoodles, I'd rather do the music for xta rather than general spring, firstly because its my fav mod and ive played it for years. if you want electro I can do that easy, I have an idea on an electro scale of what id do, slower more ambient parts for the beggining, or when theres no battles, going into break beat (aphex twin style) with some dark trance inspirations for battles, theres alot ive thought about I think I could plan the music out in a Tree.....
I know they need to be short tracks as to keep file size down, but are people willing to dl the mod with decent track lenght????

thinking about it allmost all games take about 1-10 gigs a large section of this is movies and music, so full lenth ogg tracks should be peachy?

any suggestions?

EDIT:

This is my personal myspace, I like wierd music, but im quite versityle, there's various genre's of electro in some of my tracks, others are ones i made whilst under the influence :P
nether the less I can do it easy,
my partner in crime also http://www.myspace.com/tveritas

i thought about it and tbh i think the best thing is to let ppl dl it separately :/ or we could upload 2 version of xta, with and without a soundtrack...

I listen to my own music while playing spring. Imo any integrated music should be entirely optional, and definitely not bundled with a mod download.

Ah, you mean in-game music, not music when xta is loading.

I think most people listen to their own music, and it will be difficult to find somewthing that suits all. I would prefer something instrumental, maybe classical music (I like the concept used in Lemmings, various classical music).
